Try http://www.amazon.ca and search for Prince Sign 'O' The Times under DVD. I can tell you that it does not have special features.

It is not available on amazon.com it is available on the Canadian Amazon web page. http://www.amazon.ca unfortunetaly there are no special features but the 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround is awesome and the picture quality and flesh tones are great!!!! It is released by Alliance Atlantis.
Now watching it a 6th time!

Any one know if this will be sold in any stores, or is it just going to available on line.

While both Canada and USA are Region 1, Canadian releases are not readily available in the USA. Like a couple people have said, you'll have to try www.amazon.ca or another Canadian DVD retailer.

Is this a high-quality DVD release or some BS like the Brazilian one? Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Another detail about the DVD is that it is not dual layered and it is 4.431 GB so it has no problem fitting on a 4.7 GB DVD-R for those of you who want to burn it for friends...etc.

Well I am in the UK and have just ordered one to be shipped over from Amazon.ca. When you include the slowest international postage to the cost of the disc, it comes in at under £11! Even with speedier shipping option it would be less than £13. Not a bad deal, plus Amazon.ca doesn't make you set up a new account so I just used my existing Amaozn.co.uk details. Well, luckily mine's shipped on Friday, so I should be getting it, hopefully, by the release day of Jan. 25. Yeah, I got it from http://www.amazon.ca and I live in the States, so I'll (along with the rest of us, I'm sure) let you guys know exactly what's up with this version/release! Wish it had some real extras, but I guess that'd be pushin' it.

As you all know Sign 'O' The Times was released through Cineplex Odeon. After some hard times Cineplex Odeon started going belly up and they sold a majority of their theatres, distribution...etc. Now Alliance Atlantis has bought all the rights and they own Odeon films. In fact over the past few years Cineplex Odeon theatres have re-opened. I don't know why everybody is talking about this DVD released through them as not being an "Official" release, just because it is not posted on NPGMC. Alliance Atlantis has the rights to Sign 'O' The Times and they have officially brought it back for fans. I've watched it over and over and it has been digitally remastered. The picture quality is excellent. The sound is Dolby Digital 5.1, unfortunetaly there are no bonus features on the DVD. It can be purchased from HMV, Best Buy, & Amazon.ca

Alliance/Atlantis and Cineplex Odeon merged in 1998. Alliance bought Cineplex and Universal bought the both of 'em! I am enjoying my DVD a lot.

The 01.24.05 release date must be the UK release date. The Canadian release date is 01.25.05

The DVD is absolutely amazing with the exception of the "U Got The Look" portion which is very grainy in comparison with the excellent quality of the rest of the DVD
