All I know is that there IS a new album on the way.

There have been rumors that it's gonna be called "Even Children Won't Understand"
but I haven't heard any confirmation official or otherwise on the title yet.

It's funny how a title can get you excited.

I remember reading that his lp would be called 'musicology' and i felt a little cold. Bad, bad name.

Ok folks...I'm gonna put my dick on the line here. This is just my OPINION regarding the next album. I feel that the next record is gonna be beautiful. I believe that we will see prince move towards a more traditional soul sound with drum machines/synths being left behind and the emphasis placed on more soulful instrumentation i.e acoustic piano and hammond organ. I see Prince moving towards a more intimate and perhaps live studio recording with songs of love, loss and growth. I see it as an advancement on the ideas expressed on albums such as the truth and ONA piano album. Overall it's gonna be raw, honest and drenched in soul.

Really?! I don't like that title at all. It has no ring to it, and sounds like some Fresh Prince attempt at a comeback album. Still, this is the man who named an album "The Rainbow Children."

My wife's old high school friend works at an LA movie promotion company. Some of his clients are Sony and Universal movies, the networks, and several record compnaies including Interscope Records, WB Records, and Sony Records. He mostly only works on the ad campaigns of motion pictures but he also dabbles in furniture design and painting in his spare time.

Anyway, he knows I'm a huge PRINCE fan and he called me up this morning and reported to me, and I quote, "We are doing a Prince project. I thought you should know." Tony is not one to bull-#%#&, so I said, "Really?!! What??!!". He replied that a record album and a one-sheet are being commisioned by his boutique. They just started work on it and he said that the album is scheduled to come out in the summer on Sony Records. I asked him the title of the album. He said the title they are working on is.....

....."Even Children Won't Understand"
