I know I remember because I was one of them!!!!

All of this Manuella hate reminds me of the jealous spewing that I and many other women back in 1996 used to serve poor Mayte...thank goodness I know better now, Manuella doesnt bother me at all (and that's how it should be).

Actually I was delighted when he married Mayte. I always liked her!

I was kind of out of the Prince thing during this time. I just remembered thinking I should send them a congratulation card for getting married. I got married the day before they got married. I remembered being so jealous when I heard that Prince's wife was preggers and I wasn't! My husband got an earful!

I remember everyone hated her! On December 28th 1996 Prince said "I found my Puerto Rican and ya'll hate her because ya'll wanna be her. Fuck ya'll. Ya'll can kiss my ass."

That's when I realized Prince KNEW about the resentment towards his wife and he DID NOT appreciate it, and I don't blame him!

he only married her for publicity... he really wasn't in love with her, just loved her...she sucks cuz i wouldn't have let him go no matter what...she should settle down and have babies so that he could get jealous...i would...so at least I would know that he still thinks of me even though he would be jealous and mad at me...who cares...

well i wasn't one of the "mayte haters" because I was just a teenager when he married her.

i'm not a mani hater either, i see that he's visibly happy with her, just as he was happy with Mayte when they were married.

He takes mani everywhere he goes, same with mayte.

Thats why i think that soon, this mani thing will probably end, just like mayte ended.

I don't know why women would get upset because he got married? It's not like they would ever get a chance to meet or get him themselves. It was a disappointment to me because I knew it would tame him musically.

Some times things happen... I don't know the whole story.. I do know
that Prince was kinda sneaking around with people behind Mayte's back..
I know this cause a friend of mine worked for The NPG store and Paisley Park.
He said he knew it.. saw it.. lots of people knew it.
But Mayte also wanted to have fun and sing and dance. She loved being on
stage with Prince and they were great together... but he didn't want her
to be her own person.. He wanted her to be a little puppet..
So far his wifey is happy playing his game and just sitting quietly and
letting him pull the strings.. but you never know... In time she may decide
she is sick of it too... Or he may find another "young girl" to play with..
Very sad.. but some times things just happen.. and its hard for professional
people to stay together..
Look at Brad and Jen.. I thought they were SO happy and would always be
together... things happen..

I remember it as if it was yesterday. That day my mother

sat me down and told me Prince is my real father. It was

such a shock. Then we ate cake to celebrate the wedding.

It reminds me of the Tommy Motolla / Mariah Carey thing.. these older men get the women so young, they don't get a chance to get up from under you and see what life is all about.. you can get tired of being on the pedestal, when all you reallly want is to hang out and figure out who you are..
