I second that, Rave does have some good songs on it, but the overall 'feel'
of the album is average and the sequencing seems really clunky. The album
just doesn't flow very well. Plus, just like NPS, one of the best tracks is
tacked on the end as a hidden bonus! It's interesting to note that the
original version of Rave submitted to Arista was a shorter punchier 'rock/pop'
orientated album. Most of the more 'r&b' material was added later after
complaints that it wasn't 'black' enough.

Interesting. The original "Rave" was probably a blueprint for "Musicology".

This is God's honest truth - I bought Rave on a weekend pass from the psych ward. No lie. I was in a psych ward when Rave came out and when I was deemed 'stable enough' to go out into the big, bad world - my family came and picked me up, brought me to Target, and I bought Rave. I loved it then, but I was on 4 different medications at the time; one of them is now off the market.

Today, I listen to I Love You But I Don't Trust You Anymore and that's about it.

I personally think Hot With U and Undisputed are the worst tracks.

And I'm much better now, thank you (not that you were asking).

Novabreaker, I'll be the Org's resident recovering psycho, if there's a need for such a thing.
