Can you buy The Chocolate Invasion from the NPGMC if you're not a member? I'm not a member but someone told me you can buy it from the site regardless, just at a more expensive price... I've looked and I couldn't see it anywhere.
Anyone have a link? | |

It's $7.77 for members and $9.99 for nonmembers. Put your mouse arror over the 2nd track. Turn up the volume on the mixer to hear sample from that track. [Edited 1/1/05 4:18am]

I just downloaded it a few days ago. I think it's great. It's very gospel meets r&b straight up.
I don't know much about, just that it became available in late 2003. If you have any other info, please let me know. Perhaps that's why you're seeking it out in the first place. Come here, babe.. yeah...

These aren't available on CD.
TCI and Slaughterhouse come from the original Year One NPGMC downloads, so they're more akin to compilation albums.

iTunes can't play the NPGMC tracks? I was going to order them one day, but if they are incompatible with iTunes, that's a big problem for me.

Actually, track #10,"U Make My Sun Shine," was released as part of a CD single w/ Angie Stone in 2001. I don't recall hearing about the song at the time, but it was out there.
That disk also included three other songs. - When Will We B Paid? - Throw Dat Leg Up [snippet] - Sweet Punanny [snippet] Here is the info for it; you can find it on Amazon.com.: Audio CD (April 10, 2001) Original Release Date: April 10, 2001 Label: Wing Span Records Catalog: #10 ASIN: B00005BC8T I'm wondering if the other cuts on the album were previously pressed and distributed. I know that a number of them were meant to be part of other albums but were left on the cutting room floor. So I guess we can find some of them on CDs, not just digitally. So I guess we can find some of them on CDs, not just digitally. There are the singles that were sold on the 2001 (?) tour. I forget all of them now, I never could be bothered to dish out the mullah for the all - but there was Supercute, Peace and a couple of others. Some other kind soul will be able to list them all properly. » NouveauDance [Edited 1/3/05 1:54am]

It sucks. I had to burn them on CD first and then rip to mp3 and transfer to my iRiver. ********************************************
