Thirteen and a quarter I recently got an iPod and was loading all my um, "unreleased" Prince songs on it, and I found a song called "Thirteen and a Quarter" that I must have downloaded but have never listened to as far as I know. It sounds like an '80s instrumental. Anyone know where it's from? When the sunlight strikes raindrops in the air, they act as a prism and form a rainbow. The rainbow is a division of white light into many beautiful colors. Regardless of the day, I'm glad you were born.

It was a Madhouse track - a b-side to 'Thirteen' from the Madhouse album '16'.
Madhouse of course being one of Prince's side projects, the line-up for this album being mostly Prince, Eric Leeds, Levi Seacer and Shiela E. From 1987.

And, nice touch having an iPod...and putting Madhouse 13 and a quarter on it. Now, you've gotta seek out Ten and a Half, Six (End of the World Mix), Six and a Half, and Ten (the Perfect Mix). Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Oh, that's right, all the track names are numbers. I should have caught that. Never heard Madhouse, tho. I'm totaly out of the downloading loop but did get gis and gigs from direct-downloads and ftp in 1999 and from Audiogalaxy in 2000. Ah, those were the good ol' days.
