yet continue to stick around, what's keeping us here? Is it a psychological thing? I wonder about this...is it that Prince's live show is still exciting? What is it?

it has nothing 2 do with what u don't like..it has to do with what u DO like.

Music is like art... The artist didn't paint the picture for ME, he painted what came from inside.. If I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't, I won't. Sometimes we forget that a true artist isn't gonna worry so much if U dig it, but if it said what HE was trying to say the way he wanted to say it. If ya want nothing but mass-produced hits with no experimentation, start listening to the Back Street Boys or NSync.. they might be more your speed.

but what happens when an artist starts creating music just as mass-produced hit sounding as backstreet boys and nsync?

:cough cough: rave :cough cough: nps wink

If you honestly think that Rave and NPS sound like Backstreet or Nsync then you had better get your ears and mind checked out by a professional.

NO way! I completely disagree! NPS may not be that good, but it DOES NOT sound like the boy bands, uh uh, no way...disbelief

I'd like to pose another question: How come Prince gets picked apart for his 90s stuff not being as good as his heydey....yet no one else does? Sting doesn't, (as far as I know). I mean it seems to me, that EVERY classic artist had their "period" which ended and didn't last that long. I never hear any griping or complaining about them...maybe I don't listen to other artists enough lol
