hello, just lookin in the ONA tourbook, towards the back are a list of cd's we are supposed to get *(us members)*
so what eye was wondering is, does anyone have any info on which cd we are getting and when?

the list on in the tour book is in this order:

Last December
One Nite Alone
The Best Of (symbol)
Xenophobia


the last december 'sounds' interesting.. simply because of the song Last December, not sure if they have any relation.. BUT who knows

Prince played part of Xenophobia cd at the NO concert, it was all instrumental stuff.

Nope. Your guess is as good as anyone's. The only thing that has been reported based on Prince's comments in the soundchecks is that the first cd would be "soon", but that was a couple of weeks ago now, so who knows???

oh well, eye was lookin 4ward a new prince cd this past few weeks.. eye bet they havent even begun 2 start the process of the cd's.. they'll probably send at least 3 emails sayin they will be out soon, then some will get shipped, many will get delayed, then eye'll b see'in the freekin cd in Best Buy and wondering why eye havent recieved my copy yet!

But no, I actually think they're probably further along in the process and will handle things a little differently than Crystall Ball. My guess is that if any of the 4 cds will be released in stores, the members will still probably get the cds about month in advance, similar to how members were given access to TRC well before it hit the stores. If he wants the NPGMC to be successful, he needs to keep the fans happy. So, I think Prince learned his lesson from Crystal Ball. (at least let's hope he did)

I think the best of CD is a ripoff. If it's a best of, I'm assuming we all have all of the songs already. And on this CD, they would all be edited. I think it's cheap.

I heard that the Best Of is 2 discs of new masters of old Prince songs (hopefully not as crappy as the 1999 new master)

I have a premonition:
the 1st cd will be 1 Nite Alone,
the 2nd cd will be Xenophobia,
the 3rd cd will be Best of...,
and the 4th cd - lets call it Madrid2Chicago - will be a compilation of the best tracks from year 1 of NPGMC.
And my magic 8 ball agrees. Says most definetly so.

MADRID 2 CHICAGO is an unreleased 'smooth jazz' album from circa '98. It was on the list of albums fans could chose at the Celebration.

It was slated for release this summer, but there was no word that it would be through NPGMC. It may yet materialise through the Retail section.

Here's a little clarification on the CD's...

One Night Alone - this is a studio album of New songs featuring just Prince & a piano. (much like The Truth was just Prince & a guitar)

The Very Best Of - this is a double album of the 'New Masters'. New versions of old Prince songs made while Prince was called , should also feature 3 or 4 previously unreleased songs as well.

Xenophobia - new instrumental weird/jazz album featuring Candy Dulfer & Vanessa Mae on a couple of tracks.

Last December - no idea!... might be a live album, might just be a single of the Rainbow Children track (Nobody's saying).
