prince singing on 1999 is excelent on all songs.
i tend to notice that it is maybe his best singing ever.
his voice never sounded like that in latter period.

i think his vocals on ATWIAD are pretty amazing, especially in "condition of the heart". i've always thought that's his screechiest album, but it also has some really good range, especially considering how short that record is.

Prince's best singing? That's a hard choice for me to make because I like music first and singing later. I definately rate "1999" as my favorite album musically. Going by singing alone, I would probably go with either "Prince" or "Dirty Mind". My favorite Prince singing is his falsetto and on these two albums, his falsetto sounds a lot more "sassier". But I also love the screaming on "Controversy" and "1999". It's too hard a decision for me to make judging on singing alone.
