K, this is going to cause a riot... Does anyone remember the Spit Puppets from the 80's .. I believe they were called Spitting Image Puppets... I think they have a Prince puppet.. and I think I have the picture... I don't want to freak anyone out about it.. Does anyone remember these awful things?

yup - i remember the genesis video and the spitting image special that aired in america where nancy was planning a party for ronnie (yeah, it was a while back) and nance was having an affair with frank sinatra. pretty edgy stuff for network television back in the day.

I used to love watching Spitting Image on a Sunday night - really funny stuff. I remember they did a sketch with a song called "Black Moustache" to the music of Purple Rain. This was about how Prince was wanting to grow a proper 'tache cos all he could grow was his trademark pencil thin one. Got the song on cassette-tape somewhere...

And the Prince piss-takes were brilliant. 'Black Moustache' was good, as was the sketch with Prince in bed making love to a microphone just as another, jealous microphone walked in on them.
