I dont know Bob Belden so well, but I must confess I really wish to see an album with great ´serious´ musicians covering Prince. Unfortunately, most Prince covers are made by R&B/poppish artists. I wish I could hear Prince covered by other people. On this album, I am very curious about Kenny Garrett track

The Bob Belden cd is okay, especially if you're a "completist." Sometimes I'll throw it in the cd player to chill. While its sound won't be everyone's cup of tea, I bought it for Cassandra Wilson, who is an amazing and unique jazz vocalist.
Cool track listing...decent to have! Keith/Kacey

I think this album is wonderful. It’s worth tracking it down for a purchase.

The two cd's were on a label called "something else", released in japan as I can remember. This label has something to do with blue note.
My opinion about the cd's: too much over-serious fusion-musicians and a bit too little soul..... jazzzzz
