Am I the ONLY One Who Doesn't Want Prince On Awards Shows?

Everyone's talking about how they'd like to see Prince on the "People's Choice" or "Grammy's." I, for one, am NOT looking forward to seeing him on ANY shows, not just because I think those shows are cheesy, but also because it will be such an embarrassment for him if [and when] he loses. I just think awards shows are beneath such a great musician. These shows are really popularity contests...even if he DOES win, I still don't put any stock into the shows. I hate them.

Am I the only one???

I'd love to see him on awards shows. I just don't want to see him performing with any of these damned current artists.

Well if you look at award ceremonies as "popularity contests" then yeah, then there will always be winners and losers...kinda like in real life, right? But I prefer to look at them as talent recognition; being acknowledged for chart success. Just being nominated is an honor, which is how each performer/artist/musician/producer etc does when they are nominated and thats how you should look at it. Not a dismal talent contest that you had in High School. Thats so depressing then!
