Prince Music Downloads So, I have this ghetto computer that takes 20min to download a song off the internet... I want to download some prince songs that I don't already have and I need to pick some good ones if I am going to spend 4 hours in front of the computer.
I already have these that I bought: 1999-whole album Rave un2-Whole album D & P-whole album Prince hits as seen on tv-whole album Prince hits-not sure what one but it has Pope-whole album COme-whole album Parade-Whole album Chaos and Disorder-whole album Musicology-WHole album Emancipation-Whole album Random songs: Erotic City, Batdance, Sexy Dancer, Starfish and Coffee, Dayz o Wild, adore, seven, pop life, when you were mine, the work, sweet thing. I probably missing some but oh well.... What should I look for????? Thanks! [Edited 12/20/04 8:21am] [Edited 12/20/04 12:34pm]

Too cheap.. There are a few albums I plan on buying the whole thing but others aren't worth buying a full cd of... Got any suggestions of what album might be a good next choice?

if i was starting again with Prince i'd give anything to hear the albums in order for the first time again. take a week off work, stock up, and take yourself on a journey and start with Prince (eponymous) right the way through (For You is ok but it does sound like a debut). you gotta buy this stuff at the wrecka stow. if you're cheep, go raid the used CD bins. in my nabe, i can find chaos and disorder, come, and a buncha other 90s era albums for 1.99, 2.99...cheep! or if you're in a small town or far from wrecka stows, then hit up amazon.com or half.com - both can have really good deals on used CDs.
there's no substitute for having the liner notes and the album art and alla that good stuff. seriously. it's worth it.

1999, definitely. "come" if you're wanting something experimental. (though 1999 was certainly experimental for its time)

Because I became a fan in '91 (and then only hit and miss till 2001), and I wanted to experience the evolution of P's music, I did this a few months ago (starting with DM). I listened to only one CD a week, in chronological order - mixing in unofficial releases where applicable. It was very much worthwhile. *****************************************

If you need to steal music, steal it from Wal-Mart. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

That's right. Besides, it takes less effort and it costs the same (by the time you get through downloading them). **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yeah, like others have said, just go out and buy the albums.
a lot of the ones you are missing can easily be found in the bargain baskets at record stores. Others are easy to come by second hand. I keep an eye on the second hand stores in the neighbourhood and the going rate for any used (pristine) Prince album is anywhere from € 2 up to about € 5,- That saves you the hassle of downloading the tunes at a slow rate and having the songs in shitty quality. Plus, you don't have to buy everything at once. Just dose it so that you can go out and buy "new" Prince music whenever u feel like it. I wish I still could. But alas, I've already got everything. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
