Well, I guess you mean that people kept going to his concerts whenever he would tour? But that's because of the fact that 99.9% of the people who have ever seen him perform live will always return to see him again, no matter what shite-record he might have released.....I know I think like that! But seriously, what was his last commercial hit in Europe? I think it was 'The Mist Beautiful Girl In The World', over 10 years ago! Concert attendance is the basis of what I said, indeed. Because not all US Prince fans have attended all of his concerts. His concert base abroad has been more consistent, over the course of the last 15-20 years. I really agree with this sentiment. '84 was full of commerical highs, while '04 was a redemption and a reward for P personally.

I really agree with this sentiment. '84 was full of commerical highs, while '04 was a redemption and a reward for P personally. I disagree. Let's be clear: Prince wanted to be a star early in his career. He achieved that in spades in 1984. So in '84 he achieved personal successes just as he did in '04. In fact, the goals are remarkably similar. Why would he have made this media blitz early in the year if not to get back into the limelight, to a certain extent? Now, the Prince of '04 may have different/better priorities than he had in '84, but in both years he achieved what he wanted. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

He got what he wanted both times, but the priorities were slightly different. In '84, he became a musical icon. In '04, he reminded everyone why he's still an icon. He's enjoyed so many cool experiences. The only one who really knows which year is better is Prince.
