who cares about the grammy????? it's bullshit...since 97 (or 98 not sure) when Celine Dion won best album of the year over Radiohead's "ok computer" and Smashing Pumpkins' " Melloncollie and the Inffinite Sadness" that I really don't care about grammy anymore...they don't know a thing!!! I do though cool

I like Prince, and what not, but that Best Male Pop Performance has to go to John Mayer. I'm sorry, but I love that song.

1st of all I’m truly happy P was nominated 5 times. He’s over due and deserves everything hes received this year (2004).
If the Grammy’s are truly based on talent then P will get at least 1 out of the 5 which I truly think sucks. IMHO I would give him 4 out of 5. But hopefully he will get at least 2 out of 5 being Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance 4 Call My Name. Its 2 bad these freakin awards r totally based on popularity and sales.

OMG I hope it’s not like a few years ago when India Arie had 5 nominations and Alicia Keys beat her on everyone. Hopefully this is not that type of party with Usher winning in every category. eek

The Grammy nominations as a whole are a sad, sad lot of choices. But I'm glad to see Prince's nods - I think he deserved each of them.

I'm hoping on Grammy night that we see a few surprizes, but something tells me it will be quite predicible. I can see Usher and Alicia Keyes taking quite a few. I hope Prince gets at least one win though. The list of nominees is very predictible too. There wasn't much that surprised me, but I was glad to see Prince, Al Green and Anita Baker get a nod.

Glad that Patti got a nod, although I would have preffered it be for the album rather than the single. They got some pretty good nominees...and then there is "My Poo". I also hope to hell Prince gets at least one win (I'd prefer for "Cinnamon Girl").

eye would have to agree with U on that one! eye would love 4 him to win every award that he's been nominated 4, we all would!woot! But if he doesn't, does that take away his talent or that fact that he's a muscial genius? no no no! It doesn't take away anything from any of the many many accomplishments he has already achieved or anything else he wants to conquer! Besides he knows he 's #1 to all of us and will always be a winner as far as we are concerned! So to hell mad with the Grammys and their lame ass way of judging!!!! booty!

Just getting a Grammy nod for Cinnamon Girl gives the song a little more mainstream respect and publicity, which is well deserved. Even without radio play, Prince still managed to gain some measure of victory with the song. Impressive!

He said in one of his interviews this year, he is asked every year to perform on the Grammys and he amlost always declines. he accepted last year because he performed with Beyonce. If he performs this year, I hope it will be solo.

Hey I just heard Prince was releasing his Musicology Tour DVD in Feb.2005!
Just in time for the grammys, congradulations Prince!

I predict...Prince will win 3 awards!

Best R&B Album -Musicology
Best R&B Vocal -Call My Name
Best Pop Male Vocal - Cinnamon Girl

No contest!

CMN is far more betta than Burn!
CG is far more better than Elvis C., Josh G., Seal or John Mayer (YUCK)
Musicology The Album - Hmmm did betta than the Diary Of Alicia Keys (Chart)
and Usher isn't nominated in that category!

They always give the award to the person who sells the most albums, so you know that Usher the ass will win.

Rahsaan Patterson will never get his due.

eye sort of agree with U. Even though John is a good songwriter and guitarist, he still can't touch the purple 1 in either ( especially vocals).
all eye can do, is just offer U my love...

I think out of the 5 (which is great!) he might get the best R&B album, only.

And to that I say...maybe. There are some really strong contenders there...I was surprised. He's not the only one that is back from the past either..Anita Baker and Al Green...Jill Scott and Alicia on the other side. The only thing that's going to help him is the buzz he created this year with it. It got more buzz than the rest of them.

We shall see. I think it's great that he got nominated for 5!

I think it's time to release A Million Days and Perform it right at the Grammys along with Call My Name.

Million Days must be release it's a masterpiece on the album. R&B album? Can't label the Man .
