It's been included on a new German compilation called "RTL Christmas Fever". I've checked it out and unfortunately it's the single edit which is already available on CD as part of The Hits/The B-Sides.

If it was the full-length version in CD quality, I would have bought it.

This is still one of my favourite Prince songs EVER - and I'm not even Christian. It's just one of those songs that make me feel what the narrator is feeling!

Love this song too, in fact, I have the extended version, where Prince sings another verse. LOL - the added verse is funny, because Prince sings about how his woman would get horny after drinking banana daiquiris, then they would have sex with the lights on.

RTL in Germany is responsible for trashy shows like "Big Brother" and "Pop Idol". I can´t believe that they have shown some kind of taste and included a good song like "Another lonely Chistmas" this time. Really surpising !!

I love this song myself and I do wonder about the history of it.. was it wrote for 'Purple Rain'? Or not? The full length version can be found on the 'I would Die 4 U' 12" single.

I had this song with The Hits/B-Sides think and I always felt odd when out of nowhere he busted out singing about bannana daquries. When I finnaly heard the xtended version, it made more sense, cuz U find out why he would drink them 'till he was blind, U could say their significance is explained in the extended verion.


Does anyone else agree with me on this?
