How many covers of Purple Rain do you have? Here's mine so far:

i've heard a rumor over the years that peter murphy did a cover version of purple rain, and it was a bonus track on one of his early solo albums. does anyone know about this or have it? i would LOVE to get my hands on it, or at least hear it. | |

Primus doing Purple Rain? That I would love to hear! When and where was that done? I've been to 5 Primus shows and never heard a mention of them covering Purple Rain. Is it available for download at their website? Any info you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

The Inkspots version has been a favorite of mine
since I first heard it many years ago. Don't have a copy myself but their version sticks in my head like I just heard it yesterday. | |

The only people I've ever heard really do it justice are Tori Amos and this black comedian guy who did an amazing version retitled 'Zipper Love'. | |
