yeah, that's a sad one, especially if someone close to you has died

for me, it was "Anna Stesia" -- i found it so beautiful the first time i heard it (march '88?), i couldn't help but cry -- no Prince song has ever done that to me at first listen... only if i associate it with something else going on in my life (heartbreak, the loss of a loved one, etc).

I would have to say that it was Purple Rain because a friend of mine had just been killed in car wreck and I could watch him sing it in the movie but the album playing just made me sad. That and a song from David Sanborn called A Tear for Crystal.

"The Last December" when I heard it at the celebration 2001.

Well after I heard "Gotta broken Heart again" for the first time, I went home and cried.
But the first time I heard "Girl" on the Time album, I just teared up something fierce, then I went to my room and cried.

Lets see... and the first time "When Dove Cry" it made me cry too. I won't go into details.

Well since im such a crybaby my choices may be a little weird.

Another Lonely Christmas when it first came out hit me. But it's hit me harder over the past several years. Great song.

It was 'A Case Of U' from One Night Alone. I know it's not a Prince song, but there you go.

Purple Rain upsets me a lot, but I don't think I cried the first time I heard it. I have done since though.
