I recently got the 'Purple Rush' 6 CD set from Sabotage, which is crammed full of classic rehearsals from the Purple Rain era - in digitally remastered form... It contains the very best versions of 'Erotic City', 'Noon Rendezvous' and 'Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)' I have ever heard!

All of it I guess - but if I had to choose a few items:

Let's Work / Gotta Stop 12''

My Hands (Prince's bum landed in them when he dropped backwards off the stage at an aftershow).

Black Album on vinyl

All the boots

All the 12'' singles (back when he used to do b-sides).

The Glamorous Life video (P and the Rev come out and do an awsome version of A Love Bizzare - one of my fave p performances).

All the tour programmes especially Lovesexy (best night of my life).

Ok - I guess I should stop there. Oh wait - The Family album on vinyl - adore it!

No, I mean Beautiful Strange the video, where Scary Spice interviews him, and then there's that aftershow at the end of the tape, plus a music video for a different version of Beautiful Strange. Released around the same time as Newpower Soul.

Oh yeah, and as for things I'd really like, it would be that symbol tambourine, a cloud guitar, Small Club on CD, Madhouse CDs, Beautiful Strange, Oh and a laserdisc player with all those movies and vids released to laserdisc, but never to DVD. AARRRRGHHH!

Are you not a member of NPG - Beautiful Strange is a track on Rave Into, which was sent out to all members last year (I got mine when I joined for the first time in Feb this year), and is now available in the retail section (although possibly in the members only bit?)

If you are after this, does that mean I have something considered a rarity???

I've got this!!!! I have a rarity! Yea!

I have half of Princes jacket from Wembley 86, plus Wendy's sunglasses.

I love my D&P signed album cover,

I have the original Black album, 51 hours and Gett Off, those are nice.

I think my overall favourite would be my 2 six foot SOTT posters. One is plain black, with the symbols on it, the other is an advert for the SOTT tour at Wembley Stadium (that never happened).

But I love my Pandemonium promo CD with digital clock cover!

Nevrmnd:Re: Purple Rush 1 (parts 2 & 3 will be available soon)

There's something to be said about hearing those classic rehearsals ( "Erotic City", "Something In The Water..." & "Noon Rendezvous" much superior to Sheila E's studio recording, in my opinion...)in digitally remastered versions as opposed listening to them on the older crappier bootleg - if anything the cleaned up CDs make you appreciate/enjoy those rehearsals even more...

And no, the Muppets video is definitely NOT a joke... Do u want a copy???

Say, has anybody seen the 'Miles From The Park' video? It's da BOMB!

A rehearsal from Prince's basement studio just before the release of Purple Rain. It features Susan Rogers running around like an idiot. Funny stuff.

You people out there with the vinyl -- and I thought I was alone, too! Of course, I do still have a record player, and it get's used, too! Although, I never, EVER, play my picture discs. I am rather proud of my vinyl collection, which is extensive beyond Prince. Guests usually do comment on it when they come over.

Another favorite is my life-size(?) stand up of Prince, Diamonds & Pearls era, which I refer to as "Honey". When I walk into the house and say, "Hi Honey!", and my husband replies, I remind him that I was not talking to him!!! (Yeah, I know -- that's cold....)

A Purple Rain Coat -- a purple condom. (really)

But my two most favorite possessions:

1) A pair of jeweled hand cuffs, like the pair Mayte wore on Soul Train which were made for me by a friend, and

2) My memories -- memories of concerts, parties, road trips, things at Glam Slam, sleeping on curbs, and just kickin' it, sitting around and talking with people who dig his music, too.

These things just can't be bought.

1)Well I know this is rare to me, and I will never part with it,but I dunno if someone else has it or not but...I wrote Prince my first and only time when I was eight years old, which was in 1992, and on my birthday(I turned 9), I got a plain white envelope with the Paisley addy on the front and inside was a venue poster for London (It says Earl's Court and Welcome to London on it)from the 1992 European Tour that listed the dates of the tour in June and has Prince in his gun guitar holding pose(hands crossed in front of chest)on a solid purple background.

2)I have a collection of Prince Tv appearances also, including the famed Muppets episode, and it also has the Thieves In the Temple Long mix video..I love that!!

3)My mom has everything on Vinyl from Prince-ATWIAD,every other album I have is on cd or tape maybe thats not so rare..but hey..I'm 18..anything vinyl is rare! wink
