Apart from my VAST collection of music by Prince, I think it has 2 b the Symbol shaped mosaic mirror that I bought in the ill-fated NPG Store in London 4 £99! All that visit my Prince "shrine" comment on it. wink

1. Small Club
2. Framed picture that a fan in San Diego made for me 10 years ago of Prince jamming on guitar like on the cover of the Sign of the Times Movie
3. Video of First Ave, 1983 (1st Purple Rain ever heard)
4. Video of First Ave, 1987 (1st Forever in my Life)
5. "12 inches to a yard" (all of Prince's 12 inch singles)
plenty more, but those are first that come to mind
Whatever it is, it´s got to be PHUNKy!!!

A mint copy of the "P Control"/"319" promo CD single... supposedly 30 or fewer copies are known to be circulating among collectors.

Oddly enough, my "Dinner With Delores" promo tape that was mailed to me by Ben/Kev/Matt/Val/Marc for what may have been the only contest held so far on Prince.Org. Pretty rare I say smile

Outside of that, I really love my _Crucial_ bootleg album. Nice pics, and great tunes on the boot.

I have a copy of PRINCE on "Muppets Tonight" that I really like. He did a great unreleased version of Starfish & Coffee and She Gave Her Angels...as well as doing some skits with The Muppets.

I got a "Lovesexy" black t-shirt, with a big "1988" on the back. I STILL wear that shirt to our gigs - it embrasses the hell out of the rest of the band. I USED to have a Milli Vanilli t-shirt too - THAT was probably worth some money!!! but, alas, somebody stole it.

Not bragging, but: 12" vinyl picture disc single of Sign O the Times; original purple vinyl 45 of When Doves Cry (only played once); purple vinyl 12" of Purple Rain; recording of VH1 special, including the entire "Love4oneanother" movie -the first time I heard "The Ride" - WOW. I had Jill Jones' album on vinyl, as well as The Family, and I lost them in college. Man, how stupid is that! There is more, but I'm at work and can't remember them all.

My few unusuals include... A cardboard cutout of Prince from the Purple rain poster (5 ft tall), "Purple Rain", "Around the World in a Day" and "Parade" on 8-Track (still in wrapper), a Legal summons with Prince as the defendant with his symbol, not his name, throughout the whole document and "Purple Rain" single on 12 inch purple vinyl. Kinda Cool!

I treasure my vinyl collection 12" singles , pic discs etc even though I dont have a record player anymore , original (WX147) black album . Loads of boots etc , would never part with any of it .

Take care PC2002

I thought I was the only one who has all the 12" singles and picture discs - BUT NO RECORD PLAYER!!! I can't seem to make myself get rid of them, so I'm trying to figure out a way to rip them into high-quality MP3's.

I would say my favorite Prince possession is simply a gold "symbol" that I used to hang from my rear-view mirror. It came out right when the Symbol album did, and got me a whole lotta dates with female Prince fans . . .

I have a large collection of Prince vinyls, 12s, picture discs, laser discs, 45s. I even have an almost complete set of Prince 8 track tapes which took me about 3 years to get by buying them one by one off of eBay smile

My favorites are my collection of Prince's TV appearances-- both in the US and abroad-- about 8 tapes, symbol shaped Gett Off 12" vinyl and Paisley Park balloon-shaped vinyl. Also, the Lovesexy tourbook just because it's the first Prince concert I've ever been to.

Is that the movie with the Dolphin video where they're just sitting around and the light keeps reflecting off something in Prince's shirt or lap or something?

micorison, that would be it. I also have the first hour before the movie, where P and the NPG are watching the Madonna video for "Take a Bow" and looking as if to say "What the f*** is this sh*t?"

I also have the 45 for "I wanna be your lover"; bought it as a 10 year old in 1979 (I think). Knew the man was a genius then. I've got a cassette single of Gett Off that was produced for Armed Forces Radio. I think it has 5 or 6 different versions on it. I also had the Madhouse album (can't find it). I thought Maneca Lightner was absolutely gorgeous. I'm a Christian man, but those tig o bitties had me thinking nasty thoughts as a teenager. Those were the dayz!

No, I mean Beautiful Strange the video, where Scary Spice interviews him, and then there's that aftershow at the end of the tape, plus a music video for a different version of Beautiful Strange. Released around the same time as Newpower Soul.

Oh yeah, and as for things I'd really like, it would be that symbol tambourine, a cloud guitar, Small Club on CD, Madhouse CDs, Beautiful Strange, Oh and a laserdisc player with all those movies and vids released to laserdisc, but never to DVD. AARRRRGHHH!

Are you not a member of NPG - Beautiful Strange is a track on Rave Into, which was sent out to all members last year (I got mine when I joined for the first time in Feb this year), and is now available in the retail section (although possibly in the members only bit?)

If you are after this, does that mean I have something considered a rarity???

Well considering I have like no money in my wallet, I'm doing pretty well. And I know that the Rave DVD is still out there, I just noticed it was no longer on his web site.

Savoirfaire: You're doing pretty well for someone who's only started collecting since 'Rave'. By the way, the 'Rave 2000' DVD is still widely available if you know where to look - I've just seen a copy of it today at Tower Records

I'm not much of a collector but I have the following items which I treasure;

- the Prince comic book in mint condition
- the issue of Esquire magazine w/ Prince on the cover
- a 2-LP vinyl promo 12" single (for DJ's) for Ingrid Chavez's "Elephant Box" (that should be pretty rare).
- an original issue vinyl LP of Purple Rain, w/ the free poster insode, UNOPENED. (OK - not so rare).
- a 14kt gold male/female symbol pendant that was custom-made for me as a birthday gift (pre- prince ).

One item that I would love to find is a copy of a bootleg CD called The Yellow Album which an old friend purchased in the early '90s. I remember it was of excellent quality, and had Prince doing the "Uh-Huh" jingle for that Pepsi commercial featuring Ray Charles and those En Vougue-like gals.

Also - if that muppets thing wasn't a joke, I would kill to see that as well.

I have a Purple Rain album from Israel. The title Purple Rain is in Hebrew on the cover. When Prince messed up his toe on the "New Power Soul tour" in 1998, I have 2 feet of the lining on the inside of his coat. The coat was cut because it was reported he had to wear flats the next night. I have a japanesse Purple Rain movie program blooklet. I have a 5 ft subway poster of Prince during the UTCM days. I have a Purple Rain shaped picture disc. I have alot of other Prince stuff.
