YOU ARE SOO MEAN!!! Joey is a very talented singer and could teach our boy P a thing or too. Also Ginuwine's voice is smooth and silky and adds a certain flavor to When Doves Cry that P lacked

Hindu Love Gods, in essence REM minus Michael Stipe, recorded a version of "Raspberry Beret".

OMG How could i forget Tom Jones version of "KISS"? Ok forget what i said about Jordan Knight and Ginuwine. Tom Jones did the best cover of a Prince song. His version was funky with the horns. P's version of course is still good, but i prefer Tom's version today

Now it's enough! mad
Tom Jones is an old pimp - still with a microphone head, and I hate, hate, hate him and his crap songs!
BTW that Kiss cover made by Art Of Noise, and the 'stupid one' only gave his f...ing voice to that poor thing... mad

I STRONGLY disagree. P's version sounds a little dated, but Ginuwine's version still sounds cool.

Prince - 1984 Ginuwinnie the Pooh - 1996

Prince's version is full of emotions and energy - and nobody can top that guitar intro! Its brilliance is in its simplicity! And as I mentioned the cover is SOULLESS, Soulles, soulless...(fade)!
I respect your opinion...

...but you're wrong! lol
[Edited 11/26/04 5:04am]

- When doves cry is such a masterpiece in it´s original form. I remember that, even when I disliked Prince, I always stopped by the radio to listen to that amazing guitar intro. Everything there is perfect....the vocals+guitar on the intro, the guitar solo, the beat.
I never liked the live versions as much. Only the Nude Tour Japan kicked ass.
