It's off the Bob Belden tribute album to P. Belden's known for tribute albums.

I recall Phil Perry handling the vocal duties to 'Diamonds & Pearls' on that one.

Also, it wasn't a cover in the true sense, but Miki Howard's "Been through It" samples the beat to Alphabet St. and the "ooh sha sha" from "Around the World in a Day." Always dug that.

Seriously, Ginuwine's version is funkier and his vocals are stronger than P's on this song.

Oh, i almost forgot the guy from New Kids on the Block(i think is name is Joey Mcintyre) took I Could Never Take the Place of your Man. I love this song and thought no one could do it justice like Prince. I was SOO wrong(YOU GO JOEY!!)

I STRONGLY disagree. P's version sounds a little dated, but Ginuwine's version still sounds cool.

Are y'all referring to the one on Ginuwine's album (the album version on the Bachelor) or the remix? Cause the remix of it sounds even better than the album version. The remix of it bangin.

Prince - 1984 Ginuwinnie the Pooh - 1996

Prince's version is full of emotions and energy - and nobody can top that guitar intro! Its brilliance is in its simplicity! And as I mentioned the cover is SOULLESS, Soulles, soulless...(fade)!
I respect your opinion...

...but you're wrong! lol

It was Jordan "give it to you" knight! At least he had the balls not to just "cover" it and actually change it quite alot.....
