check it out: if you were an old-skool orger and/or a prince geek/geeklette, you'd get pretty damn annoyed at the quadmillionth asking of "what's the tracklist for (insert name of whatever unreleased thing here)?" or "is prince gay?" even if the search function was actually functional (for once), we'd be beatin folks upside their heads with it.

I for one come here less these days due to all the same threads posted week after week. It gets old real quick. Yeah everyone, remember Prince.org. isn't about learning. It isn't about love, peace and all that Prince stands for. Oh yeah, I forgot it's about humiliating new members and their previously addressed questions.(you must be psychic to be in the Prince.org)

MIGUELGOMEZ said: I've been a fan since the beginning and things always seem to pop up. I just bought the Sexy Dancer 12" and I didn't know that there actually is a long version. Duhhhh!!!! I guess since I have everything else I assumed it was the album version. He used to do that a lot. The 7" would be an edited version of the album version and the 12" would be the album version. Are there any other 12" I should worry about. I'm aware of stuff like LETS WORK (different towards the end), LITTLE RED CORVETTE (dance version) and of course AMERICA and all those other 80's songs. Help!!!!
Miguel I know exactly what you mean. I've been a Prince fan since 1979 and I didn't know the "Sexy Dancer" 12 Inch existed until about three or four years ago. I first learned what a 12 Inch was when "Let's Work" came out and I heard it on the radio. I knew that was not the version that was on the album so I bought the 45 thinking that the extended part was maybe Part II on the B Side. I shopped in the record store so much back then that I had become friends with the employees and they hipped me to what a 12 Inch was. Hell, I shopped at that store so much that one of the employees would let me use her 10% employee discount. Andy is a four letter word.

When I see a thread that asks something typical like, "So how did you become a Prince fan" I sorta assume it's someone new who's doing the asking. So while it's old news to the us, it's new news to the inquirer, or any fairly new org member.
