Can Anyone Help Me Break Up Lovesexy Tracks???

There was once someone who claimed to know how to break up Lovesexy tracks. I just bought an IPOD and would love to include some tracks on my Prince tribute, but I don't want them all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I made my own tracked version of Lovesexy using my Powerbook. (Not helpful if you're on a PC, but anyway...)

I used iTunes to import the Lovesexy album as one single track in lossless .wav format.

I opened that .wav file in Sound Studio (you can also use software called Audacity...available for free for PCs and Macs at http://audacity.sourcefor.../mac.php).

I copied-and-pasted the audio for each track into its own file, making sure that the start and end points for each track matched exactly. I saved out each file as 01-Eye No, 02-Alphabet St., 03-Glam Slam etc. as lossless .wav files.

I used Toast to burn the nine single tracks onto an audio CD with no pauses between the tracks. Each track flows into the other with no pauses and, as long as you separate the tracks exactly so that they start and end points match, it's a perfectly tracked CD with absolutely no loss in quality from the source.

You can then use your new tracked CD to import MP3s or AAC files that will play on your iPod.
Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

I did this same thing--cut and paste--and I have been happy I did. The one track thing is one of those creative but frustrating typical Prince moves.

Enigmoid

As has been said before;

The current European CD release is a 9 track CD. Well worth the expense of ordering.

It improves your Lovesexy listening experience no end.
