How about Love 89 (patti labelle) and Trust from the Batman soundtrack or Baby, I'm a Star and America. Both songs have the same beat just different lyrics

Snap said: "Daisy Chain" & "Family Name" -- same song, different words, slightly different arrangement
Yeah, I noticed this a few months ago when I listened to the Fillmore 2001 show, where they started with a long version of Daisy Chain - before the singing started, when it was just John Blackwell playing drums, I could have sworn it was Family Name. This is probably right around the time the track was recorded (it previewed at the Celebration in June 2001), so I wonder which came first - whether Prince heard the beat played here and built Family Name around it, or whether they'd recorded Family Name and JB played the beat under this version of Daisy Chain

Sheila, Rosie, Milennia, DVS, Blackwell, Kip, Mike Scott, Najee, Larry, Rhonda... even the Fonky Baldheads were around. I was there (Prince had just released "Daisy Chain" to the NPGMC about a week before), and I was at the Oakland soundcheck about 12 hours earlier where he made a vague reference to an album he was going to release very soon. I'm very certain that The Rainbow Children was that album (which includes "Family Name") and it was already complete by then, to be revealed at the June Celebration and offered to NPGMC in Septemeber. Now I'm wondering if "Daisy Chain" wasn't just a re-arranged version of "Family Name" which he was holding back until just the right time. Which came first?

I'd say Sacrifice of Victor= Get Off You're right -- I was trying to think of the other song that sounded like "Gett Off" with that same beat, and it's "Sacrifice of Victor" true.
