A Prince Revival?

This year seems to be a bit of a revival for Prince. Case in point
1)2nd year of the club & the promise of 4 new albums
2)The Rainbow Children released & receiving favorable comments from critics & fans
3)the concerts, the soundchecks (so fam friendly it hurts! But in a good way)
4)The general "feel good" feeling on Prince.org and the community as a whole.
Does anyone else have this vibe?

LOL, this is the opposite of how I feel right now! My area (Boston, MA) is being skipped on this tour, so I'm not pleased about that. And I haven't been pleased with the org. I cant stand this one news update a week thing.

You know, now that you mention it, there does seem to be a 'feel good' vibe going on around here. But then again Bart/Kellyanne are not around as much...

The music has always been great!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I think this year is going 2 be like in any other, in that there will be some people who have wonderful experiences, and people who feel like they are being unfairly skipped over or ripped off. It all comes down to personal points of view in the end. As for myself, I've loved every second of it so far this year, but I do feel 4 people like Slayer who aren't being given the chance 2 utilize their benefits.

Yeah, I remember too I resigned for the NPGMC and then a few hours later the tour dates were released and there was no Boston date. I still haven't recovered!

I think there is definately a revival going on. For us admirers and in the mainstream public as well. People are starting to appreciate him and think he's "cool" again.

Alicia Keys is doing very well with the remake she did. The Neptunes are biting Prince all over the place. And rapper Richie Rich just got a custom Harley painted purple and named it "Rain". There is something going on here! wink

I don't know if revival is really the right word 2 use. I think that what we are seeing is the trees that are growing out of the seeds that Prince has been planting for the past 25 years. All the people who have grown up listening 2 his music, the D'angelos and Alicias, these are the people who are blowin' up. It's not a revival. Think of it more as an inevitable part of the evolution of the music business, and music itself.
