Isn't that a middle-aged woman? It looks like they're wearing a grey pencil skirt. Looking at the hair-length and the sideburns, I'd say it's inbetween the end of the Sign O' The Times tour and the release of Lovesexy. The picture's so blurry I can't tell if that's Sheila, Cat or neither of them on the left. Who's on the bass? It looks like the 'Forever In My Life' performance. You know, how all the players went to the front of the stage to shake maracas and whatnot. I really can't tell if the red-haired person is male or female. It looks like they're waving the peace sign in an action very reminiscent of Linda McCartney.

First off-- this is the most entertaining forum i've seen in a minute Second, the raven-haired person is clearly a dude-- look at those forearms! I would say sheila E to the left, but look at the legs-- i dont think so, I cant place the prince hairdo-- i wanna say somthing recent though. Couldn't find a picture of Linda doing it, but here's a nice picture of Paul doing it...
Not saying it's Linda McCartney, I'm just saying whatever that ginger-haired freakish thing is, they're doing the peace-sign wavey-action. As for placing the photo, he looks (almost) moustache-less and his sideburns are very straight. His hair looks like it has a mullet-esque flick at the back, but that may be a shadow.

This is from Prince's performance at Xcel Energy Center in 2001. It was that so-so first concert on what became the ONA tour later on. The concert with the bad sound.
I think this is the one because I remember Prince stopping the dancing during the "Party" jam at the end of the concert to say that that guy with the glasses and black t-shirt looked like John Malcovich. "My soul belongs to God, but my body belongs to Prince"

Yup - definitely Celebration 2001. No one danced on stage at the 2000 Celebration show in Northrup Auditorium.

Looks like Mike Scott on guitar. was he with the band in 2001?
And the red headed dude is in both pictures, but he's wearing a different shirt. I'm starting to freak out just a little. Check this song out at:

It was the first night of the 2001 Celebration concerts at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, June 2001. Unless... The red haired dude was on stage both nights (I was only at the first night that year as I had to go to San Fransisco for a conference the next morning) I definitly remember that guy being on stage and Prince making fun of him. I was in the third row center and it was among the worst Prince shows I have ever seen! I am a huge fan, first time I saw Prince was 1982. I have seen well over 100 shows including all the crazy Paisley Park jams. He was just sorta on cruise control that night. So different than the recent Musicology shows where he was just ON FIRE all the time. I've seen him enough I can tell when he is inspired and when he is not. Even a weak Prince show beats just about anything else though....
