he dealt with loss. I'm serious on this one. Within a relatively short span of time he dealt with the loss of his child, his marriage, his father, his mother, and maybe more that I don't know about. And his faith is stronger than ever. And he seems more peaceful and open than ever.
Talk about surviving.
He is absolutely amazing to me for this reason. Above all of the wonderful things about him, I admire this the most.

i do believe that Prince was very courageous when dealing with loss, although i do think that he dealt with loss in a warped way.. i mean i dont think anyone in the right frame of mind would appear on opera the day after (correct me if i am wrong) his baby had passed away! Could we say STRANGE!

Maybe prince didn't just want the world up in his business when it came to his son and his death. I mean, that is a very personal thing. And, obviously, it wasn't public knowledge that his son had passed - would U say on national TV UR child died if someone asked U how U were enjoying parenthood but had no knowledge UR child died? Yes people dod like to know the details of celeb's lives, epecially someone as private as Prince, but he does deserve a modicum of privacy just like anyone else. I think if the tables were turned and one of us had a tragic event such as that happen, we wouldn't be broadcasting it. disbelief

People have amazing strengths, more than they realize, when dealing with tribulations such as loss. Prince has handled himself in a remarkable way. I am sure he must have his good days and bad in dealing with it, it is a struggle everyday. But, we all know, he is resillent and will continue to do what he does best and what he loves to do - making music.

But honestly, Prince and his staff could have told Oprah that she could not ask questions about the baby. I am sure some topics were considered "off limits." Odd that he didn't just do that if he didn't want his business "in the streets."

You know who I really feel for. Mayte. People often forget about her when talking about "Prince's child." neutral Mayte carried and lost that baby at a very young age. If it was hard for Prince (and I am sure that it was) then it was probably even harder for her. Prince didn't have that baby alone.

The whole thing is very sad.sad

Anyway, it seems like the whole JW thing makes him happier on quite a few levels. I say more power to him. It doesn't affect me any.

Filthy cute and baby U know it

Interesting.
I went on 8/18 and started a thread asking WHO WAS AT THE 8/18 SHOW AT THE FLEET and not one person responded.

Hey, I went to the show on the 18th! My 1st Prince concert actually.....it was unbelieveable. It was gold & white...my friend went the night before & said he changed into all different clothes....sounds like each show was a little different as far as clothing etc...but he totally blew me away.....fantastic concert!
