What I admire most is how... he dealt with loss. I'm serious on this one. Within a relatively short span of time he dealt with the loss of his child, his marriage, his father, his mother, and maybe more that I don't know about. And his faith is stronger than ever. And he seems more peaceful and open than ever.
Talk about surviving. He is absolutely amazing to me for this reason. Above all of the wonderful things about him, I admire this the most.

I don't think we know how he dealt with all this.
What are you basing this on? His music from The Truth to Musicology and a half-hearted conversiion to a wacky Cult? That's a pretty crappy sumurization of someone's life.

Perhaps slower this time..."And his faith is stronger than ever. And he seems more peaceful and open than ever." I am basing it on what I saw from the man I watched for two hours on an August night in Boston, as he gave praise to God, as always, sat on his stool and flirted with the audience in a way he NEVER used to do, smiled broadly and made jokes (again, never used to do...) Seeing a pattern here? Of course his private life is unknown to us, but from what I saw with my own eyes - the man is surviving. Some of us would have crumbled if even one of those tragedies struck. Just one of them would do me in.

I think he dealt with his loss by throwing himself into his work. He immediately went on his "Jam Of The Year" tour. Everyone deals with tragedies in their own way and I think Prince dealt with his by getting his mind off it with his true passion, music and performing. Andy is a four letter word.

He is admirable, but when you see him on a stage, its a performance... its acting, its calculated. He put on a terrific, energetic show both nights in Houston, but the night in between he was reportedly very private and sullen, not even talking to bandmates.
I think that he is doing gloriously right now... but lets not forget his bizarre denial interview with Oprah after the tragic birth and death of his son! He shines for the music and performance.... it where he really exists in a functional way. Fleshofmyflesh said: NouveauDance said: I don't think we know how he dealt with all this.

Well, I think considering that a lot of 'Superstars" that have gone through some 'heavy shit'such as he has, often go into deep dives into depression, alcoholism, and drug abuse. Some even attempt suicide. He's had a long and strong career. Ofcourse, I don't know the man, but, I don't think we'll see him on 'VH1's' 'Behind The Music' anytime soon!

Above all of the wonderful things about him, I admire this the most. i do believe that Prince was very courageous when dealing with loss, although i do think that he dealt with loss in a warped way.. i mean i dont think anyone in the right frame of mind would appear on opera the day after (correct me if i am wrong) his baby had passed away! Could we say STRANGE!

I’m sure P had his time with his son and knew his son was going 2 a better place before he passed away. He accepted his son’s death knowing that he was in good hands with the Lord. Knowing this gave P the strength to move on with his life. He is a very spiritual man and when u have the Lord on your side he will give u all the strength u need. Don’t forget the poem FOOTSTEPS, by the unknown author. As far as his Mom and Dad goes I really don’t know how he was able to handle such a loss. He never got 2 know his child which is so sad, but his parents regardless of the relationship it was still a big loss for him. I’m sure his wife played a big part by being there when he needed her the most after losing both parents and his son which he still grieves for.

Im really feeling all the love for Prince!
He is a lot stronger than what people think. Times like this make me happy he joined the JWs. Despite the changes in his music, its self-fullfillment and peace with that really matters> If you will, so will I
