i wonder if there is any chance Prince will be Jay Leno again soon to be play Cinnamon Girl..that would be a cool move

I'd rather see him on Conan or Letterman. But Leno get's the ratings, so it would be the most logical move for mass exposure.

Leno, as a comedians go, makes me convulsively wretch. How is this wanker funny?

I met Jay Leno at the MGM in Vegas and I know everyone says this, but he was extremely nice. My friend and we were walking through the casino and saw this mob of people and wondered wtf? As we got closer we noticed it was Jay...he was signing autographs like crazy and was trying to get away but being really polite with everyone...not at all "Hollywood" and as he was walking by us I told him it was cool he had Prince on his show recently (when Prince played 2 nights in a row...it was like 2 weeks after Prince was on there), he turned towards me and said "thanks for watching and I'll tell Prince next time I see him" and continued walking. My buddy was like "you idiot! You talk to Jay Leno and you say something about Prince?" But I just threw it out there and the guy responded...what can I say. I haven't met many famous people but all I can say is Jay Leno impressed me as a nice guy. We all ended up seeing him that night and he was funny...not Eddie Murphy "Delirious" funny (I got some ice cream), but good.

Anyway...Prince would play Jay's show before any of the others...Jay shows him HUGE respect every time Prince plays on there.

i TOTALLY agree with you he is NOT funny...last night i was switching channels and he was doing some sketch with the debates that was sooo not funny it made me cringe (btw you never want to see Jay in a Batman costume like last night with that big ass chin of his) and i kept on channel surfing..but for some reason he gets the ratings

the switch from going on Letterman to Leno is pretty indicative of Prince's mentality. no, Letterman isn't as cutting edge as he used to be, but he's practically Lenny Bruce compared to Leno. you'll notice that after his Dinner With Delores performance in 1996, he's exclusively appeared on Leno. says a lot about him and the kind of artist he is at this point.

not always. they've been neck and neck for the last few years, with Letterman beating Leno for entire weeks sometimes. but yes, for the most part, Leno has been the victor. but it's pretty close.
