"What'd he just say, there?" Hey!
We've all come across 'em - Prince lyrics or ad libs that we just can't understand. They're not on the lyric sheet, and more often than not, they're so low in the mix that they hardly qualify as a lyric at all. Well, maybe we can help each other out! This thread is dedicated to deciphering your favourite Prince "say what's?". If you've got one, post it here! If you've got an answer to one, do likewise! And maybe we can lay to rest some lyric questions that've been burning for years! Here's mine: In U Got the Look, right before the "Well, here we are - ladies and gentlemen" part, Prince mumbles something, and the closest I can figure is, "there's no jokin' you", but that can't be right... Any ideas?

Well, let's start from the top - this song you speak of, "U Got the Look", what album is that on?
In other words, I got nothin. Not even a good joke . [Edited 11/21/04 19:03pm]

Any ideas? If UR serious, and UR probably not, after he says "ladies and gentlemen", he says "The dream we all dream of bpy versus girl in the world series of love." Now don't y'all tease me if this joker is messin' around.

If it's the part I'm thinking, sorta in the middle of the song, I always thought it was "There's no doubt u do"..."do" meaning have the look of course, LOL!

He says, " There's no girl to do." :hmm2:now i pose the next question, Why exactly did he say that? [Edited 11/23/04 9:15am] Dynamic Savior Said: Also, do you think that ugly people are God's cruel joke on humanity (like the platypus and the heterosexual) or another form of population control?

I always thought the first line of Gett Off was:
(excuse my tone) "I hear the pussy's in the way so as not to offend your new girl" I've never really taken the time to find out what hes sayin but I guess it'd be nice to know If you will, so will I
