bootleg? better word: "unreleased"
funny, Prince ask us all to pick which ones should be released as well, so i guess this question isn't wrong then? so i'll answer... "Open Book" is a good one, but i'd have to go one better (imho) and say "The Grand Progression" (the song gives me chills whenever i hear it)

He needs to put out the Small Club out officially. It really wouldn't be such a bad idea if done as a limited release (say 50,000 copies pressed). Doubt he would lose any money on it.

I guess he wouldn’t be 100% satisfied with this release due to the absense of Eric Leeds

Should read: P wouldn't be 100% satisfied with this release due to the absence of audible vocals on the soundboard recording. I think it's time more people acknowleged that this much sung-about aftershow, inspired as it was, was far from perfect. Despite all the glorious fretwork P managed to squeeze out of his guitar the brutal fact is the dude could hardly be heard on the mike, "Just My Imagination" being a case in point. I swear he badly needed some Strepsils that night . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

The 1987 Paris aftershow at Le New Morning would get my vote above Het Paard any day.

As for unreleased studio material, hearing the following in perfect sound quality would really make my day:
LEAVING FOR NEW YORK MOONBEAM LEVELS EXTRA LOVEABLE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR BABY, YOU'RE A TRIP G-SPOT COMPUTER BLUE (unedited versions 1 and 2) 100 M.P.H. WOULDN'T YOU LOVE TO LOVE ME (1986 version) BIG TALL WALL . "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

. "He's Got The Look"? I always thought personally that was one of the best boots out there. It rarely gets discussed.

I think Rotterdam is a much better overall release. Calhoun Square - His guitar fills are breath taking!

too many great tracks to choose from.....it's hard to pick just one. thanks to the musicology album, i've revisited my "unreleased" collection to remind me of the feeling his music gave me back in the day. i'd have to say either of the songs you guys have mentioned would be a good choice:
In All My Dreams (wonderful outtake from the Parade-era sessions) Do Yourself a Favor I Wonder (thank goodness Tony M didn't get his hands - or his rapping - involved in this D&P outtake) 100 MPH Open Book (one of my favorites; Jevetta Steele did not do justice to this ballad) Extra Loveable She's Just a Baby (another super-fine ballad) Damn.....could go on and on. The man has held back on songs that were far better than many that actually appeared on the official releases or were singles.
