Hmmm...my first-thought reply to this question is:

The middle of Lovesexy, when that whole distorted male-to-female voice thing is happening. It sounds like such a psychotic circus. "You got me drippin' - drippin' all ovah tha floor!"

The keyboard in HOT THING just set that whole album off for me.Also the edit in the edited version of HOT THING was perfect.

Right now, my favorite part of a Prince song is where he overlaps voices towards the end of "Condition of the Heart":

"ooooh....(then the two high key piano strikes)....thinkin' about u driving me crazy..."

Gives me chills every time. I wish Prince would do more stuff like that. When he combines orchestra with rock and funk, I go wild!

the tiny little "say it again!" squeaked somewhere in the middle of "positivity".

the live intro to "little red corvette" (on the "purple rain" tour- lisa's keyboard line over the chords.)

the end rap of "dmsr"- "everything u heard about me is true..." and the two little squirts on keyboard in the first few bars of that song- one an octave higher than the other.

the bass after the lines "i took another bubble bath, with my pants on, all the fighting stopped, next time i'll do it sooner" in "dorothy parker".

the squidgy bass and "yeah yeah"s at the end of "strange relationship".

the snare drum kicking in on "joy in repetition".

the guitar solo in "rock hard in a funky place".

talking about david letterman on "kiss" 12".

"put your foot on the rock" at the end of "anotherloverholenyohead" 12" and the stop-starts at the end of that song.

"girl" 12"- the wobbly keyboards.

"all the critics love u in new york". the insanity of the burbling bass line.

I also love the screams in Something in the Water, and I can't forget the solo from La, La, La, He, He Hee, you know, the part when he says "Are you just gonna play that line? Give it!!" and rips into that sped up bass solo.
