Old School stuff suggestions?

I've been talking to a 17yo who's just getting into Prince and likes his old school stuff. He's looking to get more albums. What albums would you recommend I steer him towards?

1999. Best bang for the buck.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Check Out:

Prince(1979)
Dirty Mind(1980)
Controversy(1981) - contains the classic "Do Me Baby"

Nikster

I would get them Hits 1&2 and let them take it from there.

I would get him The best of Prince.. or Hits 1 & 2. I believe that would be the best place to start, besides there are too many albums to recommend...

Dream Factory. His best work, Wendy & Lisa's best work. Ahhh, how I love 1987 biggrin
"So strange that no one stayed at the end of the Parade..." - Wendy & Lisa's "Song About" on their 1987 self-titled album.
