Apart from a few superficial similarities, I don't think they have that much in common. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

They're both small and skinny as hell. They both wear long coats, and both have big lips. Otherwise nothing!

I remember seeing a bootleg video of the "Dirty Mind" tour. Prince had a lot of Mick's moves. Andy is a four letter word.

Just look at the American bandstand video...Prince acts like Mick Jagger!!!!
I read an article of the song " fool to cry" by the Stones where Mick Jagger said, i wanted to do the high voice, coz Prince did that too, and had succes with it!!! So they influenced eachother!!! Cool huh! the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

Cool huh! I find the "Fool To Cry" story very hard to believe. That song was on the BLACK AND BLUE album released in 1976. Prince hadn't even signed a contract yet.

When I read your comment i checked the booklet of " Jump back-Best of the Stones" coz i was really sure Mick Jagger wrote that down in that book. It wasn't Fool to cry, but Emotional rescue!!!! the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

Oh, they are both men that are so addictive (and S. Tyler from Aerosmith, too). They may look like "girls" (dude looks like a lady!) but something about them makes them HOT!
These men have something in common -- Prince, Mick Jagger and S. Tyler are men that have been in the music industry for so long and aren't going anywhere! Today's musicans are weak and don't have that charisma and don't have the talent to stick around. Oh, to be groupie during those times (just kidding). The Dreaming Peasant

I fully agree they both sing much a like. I have thought this for a long time. I always thought Prince could do the song BITCH and do it the same if not better.

Well, I think they have much in common: they dance similar. If you watch the Rolling stones video for HOT STUFF (I believe this is the title), Mick is doing these crazy dances, but he still looks hot. He looks so silly, but he is serious as heck! Prince is the same way! I love MICK J. GOOD POST. Steven T., too! YUM what men!!!! They don't make men like this anymore!!! "The poets are demanding their pay..."

In his early tours, Prince used 2 mimic MJ's moves. I guess that was the influence from back when Prince opened 4 the Stones, and the audience threw tomatoes @ the band and him. [Edited 10/4/04 18:32pm] "Ain' nobody BAAAAAAAD like Meeeee!" c. Morris Day

I watched the American Bandstand performance last week for the first time and I was like . I could believe how P was dancing and prancing around like Mick Jagger. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my eyes.

Can't remember who said it, but I seem to recall hearing it said that Prince dances "like Mick Jagger on speed" "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I remember 1998 when the Rolling Stones played in Estonia and in one interview Mick said that the only musician he wants to work with in Prince. But it looks like P remembers 1981 stones warm up show too well.

I think the thought of the 2 of them together is making me sick. And only Mick sold his soul for some digital camera commercial. Stupid, stupid Jagger. D'oh! Luv & Peace, Alex Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

Yeah, I agree. When I watched AMerican Bandstand, and the IWBYL video (I'd always seen a different one), all I could see was him doing Mick Jagger, plus I'd heard the Emotional Rescue story before and that it was Mick who wanted P 2 open 4 them because he'd been blown away by him (u know what they say about imitation!)
