LittleLamb said: Oh gosh, so many! When I'm singing along to Prince songs while looking in the mirror, my eyes often fill with tears for no reason-- especially in the song "It's gonna be lonely." The part where my cheeks start to burn and my eyes start to water is near the end when he says: DON'T YOU KNOW THAT I COULD DIE BABY!" He sounds so sure that he WOULD die...he sings it as if he WOULD actually die and you know he would (at least for a month or so!) Oh it gets to me so!
**** The sad and the lonely love the best "It's Gonna Be Lonely" definitely does if for me

She Gave Her Angels Goodbye almost..... Sweet Baby... Most Beautiful Girl in the World.. Another Lonely Christmas and 4 the Tears in Your Eyes in a row.... okay, and lastly.. really corny, perhaps, but Jordan Knight's sloow version of I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man.... he makes it sound like such a sad song..~ ~Karebear~

Definitely "Sometimes It Snows In April". It reminds me of a friend that passed some years ago. I think it reminds all of us of somebody we lost. It reminds me of my dog, Brady. The night she died I rewrote the lyrics and taped them on my fridge. I woke up the next morning, remembered she was no longer here, and felt sick to my stomach. Then I saw those lyrics on the fridge and I fell to my knees and cried for like an hour straight. Luv & Peace, Alex Clubbin' in Mpls/A Night w. Prince

Holy River gets me. The part where he talks about calling his girl and asking her to marry him. Something about the way he sings it and is struggling throughout the song...
Sometimes it Snows - I usually play it when someone passes away. One of Us - not on the CD, but I heard it live during Jam of the Year and something about it got to me. And Grand Progression is definitely a personal favorite. A gorgeous love song.

Oh my! How did I forget PINK CASHMERE... that guitar at the end! Oh my! I know it by heart by now for listening to it so much! But I still get teary eyed when it comes. Even before that part comes I get teary eyed just knowing what I'm about to hear. When I first heard PINK CASHMERE, i wasn't able to function in the real world for a good week and a half. The Beautiful Ones.
Recently broke off a relationship, and I was just in a state of disbelief. I was just listening to this track, not on purpose, because it just came on the mix I had in the stereo, and it reminded me so much of everything that had happened. Especially the ending screams. Man, Prince had me wailing with all that raw emotion. When Doves Cry is a beautiful song, but I never cried for it. Same goes for SISIA.

The song that actually breaks me down is 17 Days - I have felt that kind of despair before and the line of "2 ciagrettes and this broken heart of mine" just did it.
