Definitely "Sometimes It Snows In April". It reminds me of a friend that passed some years ago. I think it reminds all of us of somebody we lost. It reminds me of my dog, Brady. The night she died I rewrote the lyrics and taped them on my fridge. I woke up the next morning, remembered she was no longer here, and felt sick to my stomach. Holy River gets me. The part where he talks about calling his girl and asking her to marry him. Something about the way he sings it and is struggling throughout the song...
Sometimes it Snows - I usually play it when someone passes away. One of Us - not on the CD, but I heard it live during Jam of the Year and something about it got to me. And Grand Progression is definitely a personal favorite. A gorgeous love song. | |

The Beautiful Ones.
Recently broke off a relationship, and I was just in a state of disbelief. I was just listening to this track, not on purpose, because it just came on the mix I had in the stereo, and it reminded me so much of everything that had happened. Especially the ending screams. Man, Prince had me wailing with all that raw emotion. When Doves Cry is a beautiful song, but I never cried for it. Same goes for SISIA. | |
