Which .org members bought "The Very Best Of Prince" CD that WB released last year???

I didn't cuz 1st it's not a real prince release, It's a WB release and 2nd I have all those song on The hits/B-sides box set and on the real albums.

Funny u should mention this, just the other day someone asked me if I bought that cd. I said, well, since it was a WB release, NOT a Prince release, I couldn't bring myself 2 buy it...and I also have all the songs on that disc anyway.

The collector in me adds this 2 all who ask: I'm not above getting it as a gift.

Prince has a lot of music out there

It would be very hard 2 make a very best of prince cd

because with all of prince music that would be a lot of cds

Any self-respecting fan had all that stuff 10 fold anyhow...

i didn't buy it, and haven't received it as a gift. no biggie. F--- the evil WB.

Most people who don't know how long Prince has been around, might be the first to buy this CD, like those who only knew of him during and after Purple Rain. I know when I was doing my search for Prince songs and albums, I didn't know he had so many songs and albums because I only knew of the hits, mainly all the ones on this CD.

But now that I've listened to quite a few, I think the CD title 'The very best of Prince' is a rip-off from all of his other classics.

And no, I didn't, won't, and don't need to buy this CD.

i just happen to own every single song and had no need to purchase it.....

I just don't see any point in this whole release. 1st up all those songs were released on THE HITS/THE B-SIDES and second, the handful of singles that were released after that set aren't on there [not that it would matter].

In essence, this is just a very dull release. And what about the artwork??? AW, that inside booklet hurt my
eyes....lol...

Xcept 4 collecting mania, I don't see why anyone who's got most of Prince's albums would even consider buying this.

I was tempted to buy it a couple of times. But i ain't gonna. I don't have it, don't want it. When i fing the hits/the b-sides, that one i'll buy. But i ain't gonna buy nothin' from wb that wasn't published within prince's contract. That's what i think. May-b someday i'll buy i second-hand, dunno bout that.

I admit i have it, its true. My 80year old Father bought it for me for my birthday. He bought it some mail order ad and paid waaaay too much for it cuz He wanted to get me something that i would love. so every time i see it i cant help but smile.

My brother bought it for me, as he always does. I don't have money to buy all his stuff, so I won't knock anything back. Plus I haven't heard alot of those songs.

I bought it. I've been a fan for 17 years, have everyone of his CD's so I wanted it just to complete the collection. Do I ever listen to it? Yeah, when I just want to hear the biggest hits all together...but that's only happened once since I bought it. Oh's wells.

to be honest i was offended by the commercial because I have every major release by Prince and i was just like please tell me something i haven't heard before most real Prince fans have the Hits 1 2 and B sides and don't need this.

I was considering when I saw the tv ad but them I saw what was on it, realised I had every track & then I find out that Prince dont get a penny for it.

So no I didnt buy it

Let me put it this way. My own personal version of the Very Best Of Prince took up 6 CDs, with 13-15 songs on each.
