Also I'm pretty sure that the undertaker & the beautiful experience/the sacrifice of victor never aired on tv (maybe in europe, I do know abc in concert aired "the ride" from sacrfice of vitor on tv though). Are the undertaker and the beautiful experience/ sacrfice of victor bootlegs????? I see them on ebay and they never seem to be taken off.

Lovesexy Dortmond was released on twin VHS, and in at least one region on Laserdisc (I am unsure whether Japan or US). I understand that The Sacrifice of Victor aired on VH1, but both Sacrifice and The Undertaker were released on VHS in Europe, (pretty sure US too) and Laserdisc in Japan. Detroit 86 has never been officially released (I believe), although it aired on TV worldwide. The Beautiful Experience was aired in Europe and Japan, (I am unsure about USA) and for a short time was for sale via NPGMC year 1, but it was withdrawn after complaints about the quality. Apparently it was an "nth" generation copy of the Japanese broadcast! There are a number of different versions of all of these shows which are considered bootlegs, mainly transfers from Laserdisc (where available) to DVD. Technically I suppose these versions should actually be called pirates. The beautiful Experience was shown in Canada several times by MuchMusic during the spring of 1994. I remember being pissed because the ads showed clips from Days Of Wild, but the song was edited out of the broadcast itself.

I saw the beautiful experience in Zambia on a South African TV (MNET) Sattelite link at the time it came out....

gsh is right.
If you get an official vhs video of Livesexy (1 and 2), The Sacrifice of Victor or The Undertaker, (and I suppose The Beautiful Experience) which were released officially in some countries, (or briefly through the club) then that is not a bootleg or pirate. It is only a pirate if they are copies - as getting them on dvd would be since they haven't been released on dvd. You can tape shows from tv for personal use (I think) but once you start selling them, they are pirated copies. So although some of the shows you mentioned have been officiallly seen on tv somewhere in the world, if you get an unofficial copy it must logically be a pirate. I suppose technically a bootleg is something that hasn't been officially released or been made available in any official capacity. Whereas a pirate is a copy of something which has been officially released or made available somehow. I suppose you could get pirated bootlegs - but then if you steal money from a criminal who just stole that money from someone else, is that still a crime? I suppose it is if you keep it!

I've got a feeling that Beautiful Strange was also available on VHS from the club for a short time - this is the (1998?) performance at Cafe de Paris in London UK with horrendous interview by Mel B. from the Spice Girls. This was broadcast on UK tv. All orgnotes and emails requesting trades or how to acquire bootleggage will be ignored. - The ThreadKiller -

Yes it was. I have it. Terrible interview as you say. Performance okay, but too many guests, too edited, too staged, not a proper aftershow really. Just didn't mention it because Neontelephone didn't.
