Flaw on the new Purple Rain DVD? Everyone check your copy Everyone check your DVD. In the scene where Prince's dad shoots himself, between the time Prince walks in the door and when he flips the light switch my DVD is silent and witout ANY noise. Is this a flaw on all the DVD's or just mine? Let me know. The scene is entitled "breaking point" on the menu.
The only reason I noticed this is because w/directors commentary the scene has noise. "New Power slide...." |

I noticed that it's quiet, but I just thought of it as the calm before the storm.

I am popping my Purple Rain DVD in the player right now, and I will let you know if mine does the same thing after the movie is over. *Crossing my fingers*  Here I sit in my lonely room lookin' 4 my sunshine. All I've got is 2 cigarettes and this broken heart of mine...

This glitch has been mentioned before. Thank you Warner Brothers quality control. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

A slight pause is triggered on some DVDs when the layers switch.Could that be the problem? "...all you need ...is justa touch...of mojo hand....." | |

Yes! There is a flaw. I checked it against the previous issued DVD, where you can hear The Kid's foot (boot) steps and him turning the lights on. What a shame!! Does anybody have a good copy? |

Don't forget the other glitch.You hear Jerome say "So sexy" twice to Prince right before The Time do Jungle Love. | |
