If you had a bootleg with extra tracks that doesn't meant they were intended to be on the Black Album. I saw many boots of TBA that included "All My Dreams" and "Old Friends 4 Sale," just because the bootleggers tried to pad the disc out to make it more attractive to collectors. "Chocolate" was recorded in 1982 as a demo for the Time, it had nothing to do with the Black Album. What was released in stores in 1994 is exactly what we would've gotten in stores in 1987 if Prince had gone ahead with its release. No conspiracy from Warner Bros.

Yeah my CD boot copy was fantastic (and had Old Friends 4 Sale and In All My Dreams). It sounded like it was lifted from vinyl (the original test pressings that got out?), but lacked the "What The Fuck Kinda Ending Was That." I was interested to see that someone's did. It must be the exact same as the '87/'88 pressings. They also maintained TRUE packaging. Black cover, peach cat. number (sticker on the case a slight concession). The CD has a track listing in peach. I had a cassette copy as well. It doesn't mention Prince's name or title the album on the cassette, just the track listing. The REAL Black Album, however, is the original one. No, not Metalica or Jay-Z...the true black album was in Spinal Tap! I'm sure some Beatles bootleggers must have come up with a black album too. Primus has a brown album, some Orbital albums are nicknamed after colors, including their latest and last release -- The Blue Album...anyone think of any others?

sorry, got carries away...
