I think that he has an appreciation for some rappers like he has mentioned Outkast before, but, the hardcore rappers like 50 cent, Ja Rule and Luducris I don't think that he hasn't must respect for...  "A united state of mind will never be divided

There's absolutely no reason to have respect for people who promote violence and stupidity to youth hrough their image/attitude, and whose biggest hits consist purely either of six-note loops or old Motown samples. | |

I certainly hope he doesn't. I know I have no appreciation or respect for someone who's main foundation for a song is another song. Someone who's main instrument is a turntable. Someone who doesn't sing, but only "talks".....and doesn't even do a good job at "talking".
I remember reading in "Possessed: The Rise and Fall of Prince" that Prince used to get furious in the late 1980s that rappers even shared the charts with him. Then he turns around and does rap himself. I hope those days are over. Andy is a four letter word. | |

I like hip hop...I just think its the "style" of rap that is making its way to the radio that should be criticized.....like in any music genre...there's some good and some bad. Prince probably now has some appreciation for it because he sucks at it.... I love to hear a good mc...flow.... | |

Prince stated in an interview on tv which I didn't personally see, but a friend of mine saw....and this was months ago...one of the new artists out he really likes is Alicia Keys.....he said "she's a true musician".....and also he like s beyonce Knowles music as well. I heard this through a friend, but I believe it now that when I went to his concert he had that speech from Alicia for his induction, plus he also did one of her songs I beleive.....plus he did the duet of purple rain with beyonce....so I think there may some truth to it. My friend is really big into interviews & whats happening currently...and she isn't one to just make up junk either.... now I am hearing this through another person so please don't get on me for it, ok?? have a good one.
