The packaging for the Purple Rain dvd is nice..and I'm glad to finally own UTCM..I bought Graffiti Bridge, although I didn't like the movie. As opposed to the other movies filmed on location, GB was filmed in a studio. and just doesnt feel right to me. Besides that, Tevin Campbell got too much celloid spent on him. Where is he now???

I can't wait to get the DVD's of GB and UTCM, especially GB as I rarely watch the whole movie, I just skip to the yummy scenes. That will be so much easier to do on dvd. giggle

the "question of u" video looks like it's from the nude tour (or rock in rio from around that time maybe?) and it starts out with him on piano, then he grabs his geetar for the orgasmatronic solo, then he puts it down and engages in a supreme crack fantasy of a solo dance routine at the end. *i* think it's pretty HOTT, though if you're a confirmed uber-hater of "graffiti bridge" (and honest, i wouldn't blame ya if you were), shelling out the bucks just for one good video might not make the cut. if this DVD included the long version of "thieves in the temple", i'd call ya a fool for not getting it...alas, it does not. sigh

whatever it's from, i think it's freakin' INSPIRED - whatever planet he was on when he was doing that little dance at the end of the video, i wish he'd go back and visit sometime soon! razz

The picture and sound quality are quite good for such a cheaply packaged pair of films, especially UTCM. The videos. particularly Girls and Boys, appear to have deteriorated a bit.

The Mountains video is in color...that's worth the price of the UTCM video in itself.

Also, CythiasSocks...I bought all 3 of mine from Best Buy yesterday too and they were only $42...did they give you the $5 off for buying all three?

I may be in the minority but i think Graffiti Bridge is P's best movie. Much better acting and film plot than PR and UTCM. The songs are better, the sound is clearer and the action is AWESOME(remember when the jeep ran into the window?) I can't get enough of watching this movie. Jill Jones should have been nominated for best supporting actress. Her portrayal of a jilted ex-girlfriend turned stage dancer was MAGNIFICENT.

Hello!
Yes I got the discount- my state's tax % must be higher than yours.
Did you get the "Free" issues of Entertainment? If you did, be sure to call and inform EW that you do not want to re-new or they will automatically bill your card- which is shadie on Best Buys part.

New Power Generation video (movie clip collage)
Round and Round video (from the movie)
Question of U video (very cool live clip - from Nude tour in Tokyo?)
Movie Trailer

that's it.
