I've never heard the song but I find the lyrics offensive. I'm a big woman, too. I grew up a chubby kid and was a prime target for school bullies. Oh lord, if I had a dollar for every nasty comment thrown at me, I'd make Donald Trump and Bill Gates look homeless. Cha-ching! biggrin

I really don´t get what ´s so offensive about this song...he seems to like fat girls, that´s all...maybe it´s just some kind of fantasy he´s too insecure to live out in real life, but the man does seem to have a thing for big girls from time to time, plus he´s such a control freak when it comes to weight and dieting that there must be some kind of hate and contempt versus envy thing going on inside of his mind.
How many times has he sung about chocolate, mashed potatoes, candy, cream, icecream and other delicious things...and remember GETT OFF .." I like ´em fat, I like´em proud .."...
Bodyfat and dieting and control seems to play a huge role in his life...
Remember how Sonny T almost became the Revolution bass player, had to go on a diet to lose weight and then Brownmark got the gig ??? Just goes to show you...
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

They lyrics suck. The content matter is offensive-funny or not. I wonder what the "new improved" Prince thinks of the song produced by the "former gangsta wanna-be" Prince? I'll be glad when dude concludes this war with himself and we see the REAL face(s) of Prince. Everything about him during the time period tha song was released seemed false. I'm not too sure about now either. Will the real Prince please stand up?

Actually,I kinda miss that early 90s,gangsta-acting,rapping,typhoon-wearing Prince...lol...he wrote some of his funkiest jams during this period lol

I miss NOTHING about his "rapping"nuts That was the first time I ever felt truly embarassed to be a Prince fam. I do like SOME of the songs from that era, but not his overall "attitude". It seemed like he was doing what Madonna and LL Cool J have perfected-mimicking what was considered hot at the time and trying to pass it off as something original. And what "fat girls" has Prince ever dated-in public that is? I'm not buying this all peace and love Prince either. There has to be a happy medium, right?

Personally, when he picked two plus-sized girls on stage in DC, he commented to the heaviest: "I'm scared of you". I found THAT offensive. There's a level of sensitivity to consider and he didn't consider it when he said that OR wrote the song (I didn't hear the song but read the lyrics). Being heavy is how God made us, and we ENJOY life!

Question: what if someone he REALLY admired made a comment (thinking they were being funny) about the color of his skin? SAME THING That's the way God made him, RIGHT?

There are ways to praise about us sexy BBW's, and what he said in the lyrics was NOT the right way.

I was at this show in D.C., and I thought he said it because she looked like she was coming to get him. As in "come to momma, you little sexy thing," not as in "I'm about to eat you." I didn't think it was offensive, and I didn't think she was offended. What makes you say he meant it in a mean, as opposed to funny way?

Honestly, I didn't see the woman until she was on stage, so I didn't see her coming toward the stage when he "called her". I just heard him say it and thought, "wow".

Ok, "I stand corrected"

He did the same thing in Chicago and the woman certianly didn't seem offended. She seemed to enjoy the attention.... He also seemed to enjoy it.

Yeah, but if Toby Keith released a song saying "I want to see all you brown skin people dead", his honesty is still vulgar.

True, but I don't see hate in saying "work that fat".

"Opened up the ice box, ate everything in the crib
Midnight snack, my ass!
Bought 7 packs of cookies, thinking they would last
I'll be damned, baby ate the wrapper 2!
Then looked at me and said, "Nigga, I'll eat U, 2!"

Sorry but man those lines r pretty funny..... I should play this song to one of my Prince hating friends.....this track will knock them dead.....they'd be laughing.....

Then ask a fat person what they think.

I know a few who struggle with it and they would absolutely be more turned off by Prince then they arlready are by it.

Prince needs to stick to songs that involve, fat-free, 100% grade-A, home grown, body parts like vaginas.

After Graffiti Bridge, Prince also felt false to me... then he went into a Mayte-influenced falseness, and now a Larry Graham-indoctrinated one. It will be cool if he ever gets past this. Not that all the music's bad tho.

well, i agree that prince sort of crosses the line with these lyrics, but i think he meant them to be funny. and to be clear, god makes no one fat. fat is a lifestyle decision involving too much food and too little exercise. it is not healthy. it leads to diabetes, heart disease and other related illnesses.

What do you mean God doesn't make fat people? Are you playing the word game-obese vs. fat? Some people are born bigger and no amount of dieting or healthy eating changes their weight.

According to Webster's dictionary these are SOME definitions of Fat: Abounding in a particular element; Fertile; Profitable; Affording good opportunities, especially for gain; Wealthy; Prosperous; Rich; Plentiful; THE RICHEST OR BEST PART OF ANYTHING.

I would love to be considered fat under these definitions.

I agree, those lyrics are some of the funniest stuff he has ever written. This is one song that should have surfaced as a B-side.
