in musicology john blackwell only play drums on several tracks, otherwise its credited to all instruments by prince. did prince play live drums on the album?4 example was it a live acoustic drums on call my name? cinnamon girl..etc. 4 "what do u want me 2 do",of course we can tell its not tho.thx!

Yes he did. Also on 'A Million Days'. Prince has always been a great drummer... Check 'Tambourine' or 'Sexual Suicide' , and his first 2 albums, which use nearly all live acoustic drums.

thx giovanni 777.yes i know prince has always been a great drummer. but its been awhile since he plays acoustic drums on his records i think..and sumtimes i cant really tell whether he plays acoustic drums or drum programming, since its always been credited as all instruments or all other instruments.except 4 the"for you"album where he credited all the specific instruments.
