Prince & Stevie Nick's Stand Back... I've never heard anything conclusively as to whether Prince was involved with this song by Stevie Nicks..it's a Prince style song..especially the synthesized opening. Does anyone know whether the rumors that Prince played all the insturments and wrote/co wrote this song are true or false?

It's not a rumor, it's true. Stevie Nicks wanted Prince to play the keys on that track and he did. She ended up giving him a writing credit, if memory serves me. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Going by your initial post he's not listed at all in the album liner notes either.
At the moment I can't remember where I saw him listed as a co-writer - if I did. In any case, if Stevie gave him a songwriting credit it was because she felt strongly enough about his contribution. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

It's described by Nixks in the liner notes of one of her albums - all the background is covered here: http://www.prince.org/msg/7/104977 . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
