"withOUT you by my side, don'tcha know that I could die baby" I always say this is my fave song on that album BUT we are on the Org where far too many people diss his first two albums  I guess it goes along w/ the whole "R&B sucks, get rid of the horns" wave you people seem be on   I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! I always say this is my fave song on that album BUT we are on the Org where far too many people diss his first two albums

I've seen several threads about this song in the last year. It ain't being missed, but it is one of his most under-rated gems. Love it. | |

I always have loved this song.
But on the subject of misheard lyrics, when I was a lot younger, I always thought he was saying "you're excellent for me Barry" which I found quite inappropriate for the song (as in the line "your accent from gay Paris")... -----------------------------------------

OH! I love this song! I love everything about it! I smiled when I saw this post!!! OH! I just love how he says: "if you ever leave"-- they way he says LEAVE is just too much for me to take! I keep rewinding it and rewinding it! I can't just sit and listen to the song straight through; I have to keep rewinding it because I don't ever want it to end! And I love the way he says: "Don't you know that I could die, baby!" How did he know to say BABY that way!!! That song gets to me every time!
