XM Radio is cool. Turn it on, and "On The Couch" is playing. Nice to hear something that isn't played out on the radio.

I love the idea and concept of XM Radio, but the idea of paying monthly for radio programming .... eh ... This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Then they kinda fuck it up by playing "Georgy Porgy" next. But then I haven't heard this on the radio in a grip either. So I guess it's all good.

It's only like $10...I just reduce my drink consumption in the club/bar by two per month. Makes up for it, and I feel better to boot.

But don't you have to buy a specific type of stereo for it? And...is it only for car stereos, or home stereos too? Btw, leave "Georgy Porgy" alone - respect it for Cheryl Lynn's role in it at least! I was just thinking of the reasons XM is the wave of the future with regard to radio. The cost is kind of a non-issue, since there are no commercials. That more than makes it worth it. You always know what is playing and who the artist is. How many times have you been driving, caught the tail end of a song you thought was jamming, only to have the dj cut in and start bullshitting about some inane subject, and never says the name of the song? That pisses me off. Again, no commercials. You have your choice of genres and stations. This provides you with a great opprotunity to hear things that you would NEVER hear on the radio. I can't tell you how many artists I've been turned on to as a result of having XM Radio. My musical tastes have grown by leaps and bounds since having XM. No commercials. It's versatile...you can play the unit in your crib, your ride, or take it with you on a picnic with the optional boom-box, and you can always choose the music based on the mood. These are just a few of the reasons of the top of my head. Most important: No commercials vast selection of different music no stupid ass dj's (SF has more than their fair share) No commercials for Enzyte lots of eclectic music you would most likely not hear otherwise.
