The Crying Game Which Prince songs have actually made you cry?
For me, it would be Elephants & Flowers, Annastesia and, especially, Comeback. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here. | |

Sometimes it snows....
high school graduation night 1992...my bestfriend left for the marines...didnt tell me until after the graduation ceremony cause he knew i would take it hard...he had had it all planned out and left that night so that family and friends wouldnt talk him out of it..... i came home and listened to that song over and over and over.....the lryics dont really match my situation but I could feel the pain in prince's voice and completly related to it.. | |

"Sometimes It Snows In April"
I remember this song from 1986; my cousin gave me a tape of the Parade album and I listened to it over and over (this was before I saw the movie, so the song had a more personal meaning to me). I was going through a tough period in my life then-- just feeling despondent and sad-- and couldn't really share those feelings with anyone else. And I would listen to that song and cry my heart out. My favorite part is the first couple of minutes of the song right before he started singing the first lines of the song-- what a heartbreaker! "I Love U But I Don't Trust U Anymore" Only the second Prince song that truly made me cry. This was in 1999, going through another tough period-- love woes. I was getting over a two-year relationship-- and I could truly relate to this song. It is sad that relationships go this way sometimes, but they do happen... "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

You got that right. I cried rivers for weeks after hearing NPS. I don't actually think i've cried at any Prince songs, thats not to say a lot don't move me. Sometimes It Snows In April is definitely one of them. Anna Stesia is another. | |
