What do you guys think the chances are of Prince being named Rolling Stone magazine's artist of the year? I, like many of you I suspect, definitely feel he is worthy, but will Rolling Stone give props to an older artist like him, or are they going to go with someone younger like Kanye West?

I was thinking this too, but mostly likely it will go to Usher.

That would piss me off. Usher's a good entertainer, but he just doesn't bring what P does to the table. One of the great things about this tour and this entire comeback, is that people are really starting to understand, finally, that there are few artisits alive today who have the skill, drive, commitment that P does. Taken his success on tour, I think Prince will get reasonable consideration...

Rolling Stone is not tha cool magazine it use to be anymore. Anyone can get on the cover as long as they are talked about enough. Prince is the Artist Of The Year. He may not have went #1 on the top album lists but he has shown all that he still wears the crown. He topped the charts without even being on top. He showed all artist(s) how to still pocket most of what they make without selling out to a label by his own rules. He has the biggest tour right now. What else can you say about an artist that everyone thought would never be back in the limelight so strong as he once was in the mid-late 80's. Oh, Yeah! it's a comback alright to them because they all thought Prince would never again have the year he is having now. In Rolling Stone or any other polls they will pick an artist like Usher because all they go by is the charts. You do not have to go by any chart to know who is the better artist. "PRINCE RULZES"
