The longest Prince jam you know?

I was watching a video last night that I hadn't put on in quite a while (Prince live 31/12/1987) and I couldn't believe that the "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" finale was actually 34 minutes long omg

Does anybody know any single Prince jam which last longer than this?

On the subject, as far as official releases go, would I be right in saying that "The War" is his longest at 26 minutes?

Wouldnt be suprised if theres longa jams, but not that i know of. I always 4get 2 set my stopwatch while bobbing my head violently 2 the sounds of a man named Prince.

The longest I ever heard was a bootleg called Billy's sunglasses. It's likean hour long with Prince playing guitar. He
s just jamming and you can hear the origins of several later songs in the jam.

Absolutely! "Billy Sunglasses" would have to top the lot!! I can't believe I forgot that one.

Hey, thinking about guitar orientated jams, there's also the "Another Lonely Christmas" rehearsal which seems to last for ever too (even it does break down in parts). Not sure how long exactly though. But I guess rehearsals shouldn't really be counted?

In order of duration:

"Billy"
"Feline"
"White Girls"

All funky jams from the often overlooked Purple Rain-era. lol

Then it gets ridiculously long with these two:

"Baby Go-Go"
"The Sex Of It"

Both rom the massively hyped-up well-sung-about Sign O' The Times-era. lol

The War was actually around 45 minutes long but was edited for the release. AFAIK there isn't a full version circulating, though.

I don't know why I thought this jam was only about 30 minutes long, but maybe you're right!

Longest Jam's I know of

Baby I'm a star (live...from atlanta) - So long they have to get nasty
I would die 4 U is hella long..over 30 minutes clearly..the 12" is dirived from this. 12" indeed!
The War...but that's more of a song than a jam
America in it's 12" is too long (IMO) (23 min)

Other honerable mentions would be the studio creations of

Computer Blue..not sure how long this got...13 min and such
Love Bizarre - again 13 min too long

Christian Zombie Vampires

Rubbish. The entire "Billy" jam is 45 minutes long.

I don't measure his music in how long it is, but how long it FEELS.

For example, every song in New Power Soul is probably less than 5 or 6 minutes, but they transcend time by FEELING like they are hours and hours long.
